A joke from China

A principle manager of a state owned enterprise tried to sexually harass one of his pretty female subordinate workers. The female worker resisted. Then the manager offered a house and promotion to the female worker. But the worker refused it again. Several years latter, after the market oriented reform of SOEs, the pretty female worker was eventually laid off. The worker couldn’t think of any reason to justify her lay-off and depressed. Soon she took an offer to become an escort in a local hotel. One day, the manager visited and insisted being companied by her. After @%$&*(@%$%!, the manager only paid $15 and left with satisfaction.
In a meeting of the next day in the SOE, the principle manager happily declared: “The market oriented economy is very efficient. It will cost us much less to do something we couldn’t do before in a political power controlled economy. I am now a true believer of the market oriented economy.”
