That's too loud!---stolen from the school newspaper

This is one of the best short essaies that I have seen in years!

You know what really grinds my gears? People who feel the need to turn the bass up as loud as possible in their cars.

If I can hear it two blocks away, it is too loud. It's bad enough that you spend $25000 modifying a car that isn't worth $2000. Now you're rattling the bolts off that junker.

All you hear is thumping anyway. You can't tell what song is playing, let alone what is being said.

Who are you trying to impress? The deaf? Because I am pretty sure they can hear it, too. And guess what? They hate it also.

So turn it down. No one cares you can play Paul Wall louder than the car next to you. It doesn't make you cool.
