Chen Shui-bian sent James Soong for the flexible formulation about what constituted "one China."

The testimony from the Senior Advisor James R. Keith, US Bureau of East Asian and Pacific Affairs, in front of U.S.-China Economic and Security Review Commission of US Congress:

Soong met PRC President Hu Jintao and other PRC leaders in Beijing on May 12 and passed the message that Chen Shui-bian was willing to engage in dialogue with Beijing using a flexible formulation about what constituted "one China."

If later there is an evidence showing that Soong didn't overinterpret Chen Shui-bian, I am positive about the break-through of Mainland-Taiwan relationship in the near future. This news makes happiness of the rest of my day.
