What a oversea's Chinese should know what's still in someboby's mind.

And they have to be stopped. Thanks to 80-20 for the information.
Can you face your children, if the following radio conversation about YOU occurs in your hometown? On 101.5 FM in NJ, the following conversation took place. Two guys, Craig Carton and Ray Rossi, were spreading anti-AsAm sentiment centered upon a Korean-Am political candidate running for office in Edison, NJ. Result? A listener called in (capitalization our own):

Something outrageous happened on April 25th at 101.5 FM in NJ, as you
might have already heard.

Caller: Hi, I love you
Carton: Thank you.
Caller: You just said it all, the last couple of...callers, I guess
they don't know that they live in America & WE'RE BEING OVERRUN.
I had just moved out of Edison because of what has happened in the
past 10 years... ORIENTALS ARE ALL ALONG, THE WHOLE
COMPLETE ROUTE 27 AND INDIANS HAVE TAKEN OVER
EDISON IN NORTH AND ALL OVER.
Carton: DAMN ORIENTALS AND INDIANS.
Caller: I..I moved out..36 years I've lived in Edison
Carton: And what was the biggest problem you had with the
Orientals and the Indians ?
Caller: I can't handle them! THERE'S NO AM. PEOPLE ANYMORE.
Carton: Eh..
Caller: THEY ARE SHOVING US THE HELL OUT!
Carton: It's like you're a foreigner in your own country isn't it?
Caller: You go to own store and you can't even see American people,
you don't see our own kids, American kids, working in stores anymore...
Carton: Like the next time you see an American, you think you'll
probably hug him or high five him or something?
Caller: Oh, that's why where I moved too, that's all I have, thank
God for now anyways.
Carton: YEAH I'M WITH YOU... SHARON, WE'RE JUST THE
VOICE OF THE PEOPLE, & ai appreciate your call.
Caller: Keep up the good work.
Carton: All right, you got it baby... I think the quote was DAMN
ORIENTALS AND INDIANS.* "

Voice A: "Would you really vote for someone named Jun Choi?...
No ...foreign group should ever dictate the outcome of an American
election... I don't care if the Chinese (Choi happened to be a
Korean Am.) population in Edison has quadrupled, ...Chinese
should never dictate an election, Americans should."
Voice B: "Americans should, exactly."
More similar talk followed.
Voice A talking to a caller: "You got it baby. ...the quote was Damn
Orientals & Indians. "

Those were the voices of Craig Carton and Ray Rossi who called
themselves "Jersey Guys on 101.5 FM. The entire broadcast was
actually more outrageous than the brief quotes. For a transcript of
the show, go http://www.80-20initiative.net/jerseyguys.pdf.

Carton and Rossi aren't just clowns. On May 12th, they hosted a
debate among Republican New Jersey gubernatorial candidates.
Thanks to the efforts of a New Jersey coalition of Asian American
groups, Robert Schroeder and Todd Caliguire withdrew.

However, the 5 others, including the front-runners, did attend. If
they see Carton and Rossi get away with making such
statements without consequence, might they infer that
Asian Americans are timid and therefore that our interests
can be brushed aside? If we can't stamp out small injustices, how
can we stamp out the big ones?

Send them a message by making Carton and Rossi pay. Hyundai (a
Korean automaker), Cingular Wireless, and Bank of America have
already withdrawn their sponsorships of 101.5 FM. Let's get more
sponsors to leave 101.5 FM. Send your protest to the remaining
BIG sponsors. Use your own words to say the following:

"Join Hyundai, Cingular Wireless and Bank of America in withdrawing
sponsorship from 101.5 FM New Jersey for their blatant racism.
Otherwise, we will stop buying your products."
